Study in the UK for 2021, Why study in UK.?

Why study in the UK?

The UK is one of the leading study destinations in the world. With centuries of excellence, world-class institutions on every corner, and far more flexibility than many other countries, the United Kingdom can offer a lot to international students with the help of the best study abroad consultants in Kerala more than any other English-speaking country.

Advantages of studying in the UK

Incredible academic reputation

Britain has a worldwide reputation as a country of learning, and it's easy to see why. This can be seen in the modern world, where British universities occupy a disproportionate number of places in the world ranking of universities. In fact, according to QS World University Rankings 2020, nearly a fifth of the world's top 50 universities are located in the UK!

Culture of hospitality

The UK is a tolerant and multicultural country. You will find people from almost every country in the world in the UK. According to the Statistical Agency for Higher Education (HESA), the UK is the second most popular study destination in the world. In 2017/2018, more than 450,000 international students chose to study at UK universities. So, you can be sure of a warm welcome.

Broad choice of degrees

British universities are famous for their various degrees in fields such as art and design, economics and management, healthcare, engineering, and media studies. There are a whopping 2941 degrees available across institutions of higher learning in the UK. Regardless of the subject that interests you, you are sure to find something that fits your needs. Students get the opportunity to develop the skills, knowledge, critical thinking, and connections to drive forward their careers.

Global recognition

The qualifications and degrees from higher education institutions in the UK are recognized as high quality and world-class across the globe. This quality standard is set by some of the oldest universities with well-known names, such as Oxford and Cambridge, but the tradition extends to many universities and colleges across the UK. If you are looking for a job in the future, this can give you an edge over others – employers would give your degree and qualification special consideration.

Tuition fees in the UK

Tuition fees in the UK are often controversial and prices for local (UK/EU) students have risen significantly in recent years. Now UK and EU students at UK universities have to pay up to £9,250 ($13,050) per year.

Tuition fees for international undergraduate students vary widely, from around £10,000 ($14,130) and up to £38,000 ($53,700) or more for medical degrees. At all levels, the humanities and social sciences tend to cost less, while clinical and laboratory degree programs are significantly more expensive.

Language requirements in the UK

Applicants from countries other than the UK often have to meet certain English language requirements to study in the UK.

International students need to present one of the following as evidence of their English language proficiency:

IELTS Academic (both the UKVI and non-UKVI tests)

TOEFL iBT

Trinity College London Integrated Skills in English (ISE) – modules ISE II, ISE III or ISE IV

PTE Academic

Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) and Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE)

However, few universities in the UK accept international students without IELTS if English was the medium of instruction in their home country or if they have a good English Language score in their higher secondary level or during interviews.

Professions in high demand in the UK

The U.K gives international students a post-study work visa that allows them to stay in the U.K for up to 2 years after graduation in order to find work. This gives international students the opportunity to start seeking their international careers in the U.K.
