Duolingo was founded as an academic project at the end of 2009, At Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, by Professor Luis von Ahn (creator of reCAPTCHA) and his Ph.D. student Severin Hacker. Duolingo is to develop to measure real-world language ability by evaluating Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking skills. The test can take online anywhere, anytime. The total test duration is 1 hour and gets results in 2 days. However, Duolingo also provides a premium service for free.

How much does Duolingo English test cost.?

The fee for the test is $49 means 3650₹ in Indian currency.

Duolingo is a test for measuring a candidate’s English proficiency. Duolingo English test is an adaptive type in nature thus if a candidate gives the right answer, the next appearing question will be tougher than the previous one. Contrariwise, if a wrong answer is given, the coming question will be easier.

The best thing is, it has stories where you can hear, and you can get familiar with daily conversations in the language you are learning. Moreover, we can learn multiple languages at a time. Duolingo has bifurcated the content into work, family, friends, vacation, introduction, household, etc. We need to accomplish all the portions to get familiar with the language.

The test taker aptitude is measure as a holistic score on a scale of 10-160. There is no limit to taking the Duolingo test, but you cannot take it more than twice in a 30-day duration. A 120 in Duolingo test is equivalent to a 7 in IELTS. The test consists of 45 minutes of adaptive test and 10 minutes of a video interview.

Can i immigrate to Canada as a nurse

can i immigrate to canada as a nurse

Immigration to Canada as a nurse can be possible through different immigration programs which are offered by Federal or Provincial immigration programs.

If you satisfy all the requirements then you can apply as a foreign nurse under the federal skilled worker program. Applicant must submit an express entry profile to a pool of applicants. Based on factors such as education, age, work experience, and language skills you will receive a CRS score. Candidates who score the highest rank are selected from the pool of applications regularly and receive the invitation to apply for permanent residence.

Processing time after you receive an invitation to apply is approximately six months and there is no fee for entering the express entry pool.

Provincial Nominee Program is another possible immigration option for nurses. Most of the PNP streams are outlined to fill skill worker shortages in the province and are intended to welcome skilled workers with expertise in occupations for which there is a huge demand in the province based on their skilled shortage list.

Nova scotia nominee program, one of Canada's provincial nominee programs which target the nurses in their occupation list. Quebec skilled worker program is also another option for nurses who wish to settle in Canada.

To work as a nurse in Canada, all foreign qualified nurses must achieve their registration in Canada by assessing their credentials, reviewing their previous experience, and finally, meet Canada’s licensing requirements.

Courses with Placement year in UK

courses with placement year in uk

Why Study Courses with a placement year in the UK

Top 5 Advantages of studying courses with one-year placement:

1.Real-world experience: For many students, a university can be quite theoretical, and an industrial placement is your earliest chance to apply your experience to the actual world. Throughout the placement, students will be able to gain more insight into a technical practice that they can take forward into their projects.

2.   Networking: work placements usually allow you to build a network full of references from the individuals you have worked with. Such references can give you recommendation letters and elements that will help you to find new possibilities.

3.   Builds Resume: The graduate job market is astonishingly competitive, so having a full resume that involves actual industry experience is sure to be a precious asset. Employers are much more likely to hire someone with internships and work experience than someone with a general resume, lacking experience.

4.   Improves Employability: By doing a job placement, you learn practical communication skills, discipline, and efficient time management. Often, an internship can quickly lead to a full-time job at your host company.

5.   Placements are often paid: this is an outstanding possibility to earn while you study.
